Travel Team, by Mike Lupica is a very exciting book that is about a twelve year old basketball star named Danny that is used to having an automatic spot in the Middletown Basketball Travel Team. With the prejudice call of the Travel Team coach about Danny’s small height, Danny doesn’t make the team. With a couple of good friends, they could make this their biggest year of basketball ever! Mike Lupica really got me into his books, especially this one. He described this book so well I just couldn’t stop reading!! Please read this book.

The book Heat, the main character Michal Arroyo is a star baseball player on his team. He and his brother are living off what they can muster from his brothers work but it just isn’t enough. Michal finds himself between problems with baseball and home and he is still trying to cover up that his dead father really isn’t at home helping him and his brother get along. If you are a diehard fan that loves twists and turns in a great book this is perfect for you.
